Curriculum format
The CHANGE curriculum consists of 40 lessons, taught in 10 lesson units. There are two units for primary (1-3) grades and two units for intermediate (4-cooking in the classroom5) grades. This allows us to work with the same classrooms each year without repeating the same lessons. Un
it 2 does not assume knowledge of information learned in Unit 1, allowing the two units to be used independently or in succession. Early lessons in each unit lay groundwork for later lessons, however, many lessons contain enough background information to be taught on their own. For maximum impact on children's eating habits and maximum fun, we recommend incorporating as many lessons as possible into your classroom
