Landowner Testimonial
Maple Creek Conservation Easement
"Galvanized by development pressure on the steep slopes of the ravine through which Maple Creek runs, four families formed a committee to find some mechanism for protecting the beautiful and largely natural ravine environment. After extensive negotiations with the Cascade Land Conservancy and the City of Seattle, we completed the wording of a Conservation Easement that was signed by 14 families. The easement has been in effect for five years and we have the satisfaction of knowing that a substantial portion of the ravine environment with its spring-fed creek and native plants and animals will be protected in perpetuity."
