Land/Water Steward Association (LWSA)
All Extension Watershed Stewards are automatically members of the Land Water Steward Association, a non-profit organization that focuses on the protection and restoration of Puget Sound watersheds.
Mission
To promote community stewardship by supporting WSU King County Extension stewardship programs, active stewards and future members by providing continuing education courses and public awareness, as well as leadership and support for programs and projects that protect and restore watersheds.
Vision
To recruit, engage, train and support concerned citizens as they become committed stewards gaining the knowledge needed to protect and restore the natural resources of the watersheds in the Puget Sound region.

Your membership is automatic each year you actively report your service hours to the WSU King County Extension! How to get involved with LWSA
There are two main ways Extension Watershed Stewards can become involved with the LWSA:
- Board of Directors - Board positions are perfect leadership roles for Stewards who are interested in actively moving the Association forward
- Continuing Education - Work closely with the Board of Directors to coordinate and deliver continuing education opportunities to all members
