"To Make the Best Better"
Youth develop life skills through 4-H to become capable, competent, and caring citizens.
Ways to be Involved
The core program opportunity which 4-H is established on, is the Organized Club, often a multi-project club but could be a single project club. Although the core program revolves around the Organized Club design, 4-H has other opportunities.
Below are explanations for all five types of programs.
ORGANIZED 4-H CLUB
An organized group of youth, led by and adult, with a planned program that is carried on throughout all or most of the year. 4-H clubs may meet in any location and typically have elected officers and a set of rules approved by the membership to govern the club. Includes 4-H clubs (which meet these criteria) in school age child care settings. These may be single project clubs or multi-project clubs.
Some clubs within King County maintain their own web site. A few may be found on our "Links" page.
With help in locating a club that may suit your needs, contact the WSU King County Extension 4-H Office at 206-205-3152.
