Youth develop life skills through 4-H to become capable, competent, and caring citizens.

How to Join 4-H


For information on joining 4-H

Phone the WSU King County Extension 4-H Offices at 206-205-3152.

You will be put in contact with a club that has projects you are interested in.

Membership

Is open to all girls and boys from 5-19.
Children 5 years old must also be in kindergarten and have reached their 5th birthday before January 1 of the current 4-H year.

Youth may stay in 4-H through the 12th grade or longer if they have not reached their 19th birthday before January 1 of the current 4-H year.

Participation within the 4-H program is divided into the following groupings:

Primary:

grades K - 2

Junior:

grades 3 - 5

Intermediate:

grades 6 - 8

Senior:

grades 9 - 12
